Walkiria Bass
Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Walkiria Bass (pronounced Val-Kiria)
My mission statement
"I am a firm believer in the human spirit and people’s ability to overcome even the most tragic of circumstances. As a counsellor, I am honoured to be able to offer individuals a non-judgemental place of trust where any emotions can be shared in confidence and explored at their own pace".
Background
I was born in Brazil and came to England in 1975. I wanted to learn English and return home to realise my dream of becoming a special educational needs teacher. But life had other plans for me. I fell in love, married an English man and we started a family. Whilst raising my children, I worked for many years at a global organisation in people-related roles. Upon being made redundant, I tried hard to deal with some conflicting, painful and personal issues, leading me to seek counselling for the first time. This was the beginning of a new and special chapter in my life. One that led me to
find my inner balance and peace, while also inspiring me to become a counsellor and psychotherapist and offer this gift to others.
